Also note on these that the strap is quite a bit inside the back of the shoe which might make them too small for a child that wears exactly the size you order.

I bought these shoes locally & on a whim. I am so happy that I did because I wear them almost daily.

Although some may consider these shoes to be slippers, I use them as outside shoes. Over the course of 3 months -- in winter snow, ice & other wet weather -- they are holding up to outside elements (I did not wear them in deep snow - only when there 1/4" or less) and not falling apart.

The shoes are also super comfortable and mold to your feet. They do not get too hot and, while I can easily slip my feet in & out of the shoe, they stay on my feet when walking. I wear them with all different types of socks - thin & thick.

They are OK in the arch-support department - some arch support, but not a lot. If you require a lot of arch support, you may want to take a pass.

Cleaning seems relatively easy. I have had to clean mud spots & just used a damp cloth. I have not dealt with a stain, but mine are a dark color.

Size: I normally wear an 8-1/2. I tried an 8-1/2 in the store & it seemed a little small, so I went with a 9 (because of socks).

Overall, the online pricing seems fairly comparable to local pricing, especially taking taxes into consideration.

2/25/11: almost through another winter & these shoes are still going strong. The only thing that I'd change is to not put the furry band on the top of the shoe so that they would be more shoe-like. However, that doesn't stop me from wearing them outside (& everywhere).

I have owned 3 other pairs of these boots. I have worked outside and as a bartender. The lace up boot gives my ankles extra support in the late and long hours. and the Waterproof is a bonus. I can be standing in 2 inches of water, and my feet are nice and dry.

I ordered these in black in a size 8, as I have another pair of Minnetonka boots and a pair of their moccasins in size 8. When I got them, they were uncomfortably small, so I returned them and ordered the 9. Now they are perfect!
Like my other Minnetonkas, there is not a lot of padding, and no arch support, in the sole, but I bought inserts for my old boots and will do the same. That makes them very comforable.
These are very cute, and I like the sound of the fringe hitting the boot when I walk!

The first time I ordered these I was confused about the numbers and sizing of the glasses, and got it wrong. Here's how it works:

The glasses come with either a 50mm or 54mm lens diameter. I can't say whether they're just wider or are also taller, as I haven't tried both sizes.

They also come with a choice between two different distances between the lenses: 18mm & 22mm. I guess if your head is large, you'll probably want the 22mm option.

Model Number Explanation, as far as I can figure. Haven't quite got it down, but this should be close:
The set I own now: 902/57-5022
The first set of numbers is the color/style, ie: Tortoise frame = 902. The number after the slash seems to correlate with lens type, ie: Crystal Brown Polarized = 57. Therefore, 902/57 style is a Tortoise frame with Crystal Brown Polarized lens.
The second set of numbers is a little easier. The first two numbers are the lens diameter and the last two is the distance between the lenses, ie: 5022 = 50mm lens with 22mm between the lenses.

FYI: This style, 2140, is the "Original Wayfarer" style. Others include the 2132 (New Wayfarer), 2151 (Square Wayfarer), 2143 (Wayfarer II), 4105 (Folding Wayfarer), and the 9035 (Junior Wayfarer for kids).

The glasses do fog up easily, at least on my face. I believe it's because they are closer to my face than regular sunglasses. For that, and the lack of easy explanation of the styles and sizes, I subtracted a star, but I love the way these glasses look and wouldn't part with them for anything!

<edit> The New Wayfarers (2132) differ in that the lens is more shallow, so if your cheeks hit the classic Wayfarers, they probably won't with the new style. Also, the New Wayfarers have slightly thinner & lighter plastic frames. I prefer the New Wayfarers myself, but they don't make the frame/lens combination I like (Tortoise/Brown Polarized) in that model.

Also, if you like the style, but not the way the Ray Bans are constructed, Maui Jim makes a more subdued, but better-made frame with the model number MJ242, sold at Sunglass Hut. They fit me better and have spring-loaded bows, which is nice. Also, they have rubber built-in to the nose, but invisible. They also don't hit my eyelashes like the Ray Bans do.

In Crocs, with the exception of the Mammoth syle which I take an 8, I have always comfortably fit a size 7. I live in Crocs year round due to the comfort and support, so I'm not unfamiliar with the brand. Since I comfortably wear a women's 7 in the Cayman style I ordered a women's 7 in the Crocband. It appears to be the same shoe style with the addition of the band, so it should fit, right? A size 7 should be a 7 should be a 7 across the board in the clog style Crocs, at least one would think and easily assume. I was wrong.

I received my Crocband women's size 7 today and they are too small! My toe bumps and there is no room whatsoever behind my heal. When measuring the bottom of the shoe against a newish pair of Cayman style that haven't been broken in yet, they are absolutely shorter in length by a full 1/4". While I understand these are made in China, which often leads to lesser quality control, how hard it is to get the Crocs molds to be the same size for the various clog styles? C'mon Crocs, a lot of people depend on these shoes for comfort and can't always afford double shipping to get the size right because your manufacturing is inconsistent in the sizing!

Great boots. Buy these, not the Ugg sweater cardy's

For comparison: I own 2 pairs of UGG boots, the Costco copycats, and now these. The quality of these meets and/or exceeds that of the original UGG boots. As the reviewer above stated, the soles are solid. There is not a lot of structure to this boot style- there is the sole and the back ankle suede to give it some shape, but other than that- it is very much like a sock attached to a sole. I think this boot is great for around the house and casual wear.

Sizing: They definitely run small. I am a 6.5/7 shoe and the size 7 has my toe rubbing tip of the boot. If Amazon allowed for reinstatement of promo offers, I would have sized up. Since they do not, I will hope that the fur lining settles down like other shearling boots. I have skinny calves and often have a hard time finding boots with a calf circumference small enough- while these are still loose, they stay up enough to achieve the slouchy look.

Comfort: soft footbed. Has as much padding as standard UGG boots (that is to say- not much beyond the fur). No arch support. Initially the suede ankle cup on one of them curved in and cut into my ankle, but after taming the sharp edge with a nail-file it has stopped doing that. For keeping warm- probably not in the wind, there is not much in the way of lining- I do not consider this to be an all-weather boot by any means.

*update* 1 month later. Boots have stretched and now feel loose. After 2 days of wear, 1 set of buttons at the top fell off. Still comfortable, but long lasting quality on this style is definitely questionable. I have dropped the rating from 4 stars to 2. It is unacceptable that the knit of the boot stretches so much that it flops around and does not fit anymore.

Desert Boots and Chukka's have quickly become one of the most popular style of boots over the last couple of years. There are literally hundreds of different options out there if your looking for this style boot and the prices can range from roughly $50 all the way up to $400 dollars. With that being said, Clarks Original Desert Boot is easily one of the best of the bunch especially when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck.

I absolutely love this style boot and have over 15 pairs sitting in my closet from companies such as J.Crew, Johnston & Murphy, Frye, Diesel, John Varvatos, Red Wing, Bed:Stu, Original Penguin etc. Out of all the companies I have purchased this style boot from, there are really two that stand out more than the others in regards to getting the most bang for your buck. Those two are Clarks and J.Crew. Both make high quality boots and both keep things simple in regards to the design and that is exactly how I prefer them.

Clarks Original Desert Boot is really the epitome of simple design. No flashy cuts of leather, no funky patina's, just a clean design using classic colors and high quality full grain leather or suede. If you think these are comfortable when you first try them on, wait until you have had a pair for 6 months. These boots become like butter on your feet. In all honesty, that is one of the greatest aspects to this style of boot, they break in and become one of the most comfortable pairs of boots you have ever worn. Out of all the boots I own, its my broken in Chukka's and Desert Boots that are the most comfortable. Some of my Clark Desert Boots are over 4 years old and they are still in amazing shape. In fact, as I stated in regards to comfort, they only getter better with age. If you take proper care of them they will last a very long time.

Bottom line - Again there are now hundreds of choices out there for this style boot but very few can match Clarks Desert Boots especially when you consider the price. These are easily one of the best deals out there in regards to mens footwear. If your late to the Chukka/Desert Boot game then what are you waiting for? Every man should have at least a couple pairs in his closet. Clarks Desert Boot is a perfect place to start. The Taupe Suede & Brown Suede are the 2 that I recommend the most. They go with practically everything.

I have a mid to high arch, i weight about 155LB 5'6 inches. I run about 20 miles a week.
I have suffered a few injuries in the past, whether its shoe related i don't know, but from what i have read the shoe you wear makes a huge difference in protecting you from those injuries.
I went to the store today with the intention of buying some more Brooks shoes; I have had Brooks Adrenaline's in the past and also some other Asics models.
The store actually had a treadmill in there so you could try the shoes out before you purchase which i liked.
I tried a pair of Brooks, some of the latest model, forget the number and i tried these. I have to say when i tried these it was like running on a sponge. The absorption and cushion where great.
I didn't hesitate even though the price tag was a little above what i would normally pay.
I ran 5 miles later at the gym around their track. Their track is cement not on a treadmill and the same, the cushion was excellent even running on the cement track.

If your looking for a comfortable shoe, these are well worth it. The cushion is great, they look and feel great.
I'll try and update this review after a few weeks.

I've purchased many pairs of Crocs over the years but the quality has severely diminished over the past few years. I'm not sure exactly what has changed in the manufacturing but a pair of crocs used to last my daughter a couple of years. At the end of May, the back strap broke on a pair so I bought a new pair through Amazon. She wore them TWICE when one of the straps broke off the back. We decided to do "surgery" and took a back strap off an old pair to replace the broken one. I wish we had simply returned them at the time but she liked them so we didn't. Now, the other strap has broken off the back. Please note that the strap off of the older pair is still intact and going strong. You can actually FEEL the difference in thickness between the old and new. It's really sad because my daughter and most of her friends love them but I will not spend $32 on a pair of shoes that breaks immediately. And of course, I can't return to Amazon. Hopefully, I'm not the only one that's complained (I also complained directly to Crocs) and the quality will improve again but for now, we've purchased our last pair of crocs. And our last pair of shoes from Amazon, PERIOD, due to the return policy.

Having enjoyed Isotoner slippers for many years, I was sorely disappointed when they changed their sizing/fit several years ago. The package sizing remained the same, however, they decided to "scrimp" on the fabric. Consequently, newly purchased slippers, though well within my known size range, (supposedly through a 10 1/2) still ran short in the toe (I wear a 10), thus far less comfortable. Was I sure...you bet. I still have an ancient pair that when I slip on, are an excellent fit.

No stores carried sizes beyond XL...until I saw these on Amazon. I ordered them in XXL and they really do fit. Re-ordered 2 more pair for each of my daughters (who've had the same problem).

I have to give 4 stars as I've found their overall quality is not quite what it used to be...but at least they fit!

I absolutely love these slippers. They are really high quality and nicely stitched. The inside is so warm and fuzzy, and they're really comfortable. There was no "breaking in" period. Just slip on and go (relax!). They have a sole on the bottom, so I guess you could wear them outside if you wanted to, although I choose not to. It's not an aggressive sole, basically just there to have a waterproof barrier between the shoe and the ground. The picture on Amazon shows the thickness of the sole nicely.

I bought my pair on DSW, but they're out of this style now, so I checked Amazon and they're cheaper here! Great price on these--they are definitely worth it! I visited my parents and I took my slippers with me, and my mom tried them on and fell in love with them. So, I'm buying a pair for her. I think that these are the cutest style of Minnetonka's slippers. The "Trapper" style kind of looks like "Grandpa slippers" to me! :)

In running shoes, I wear a 9.5 width B. In these slippers I wear a 9. My mom usually wears a 9 or so in dress shoes, and she said the 9 in the slippers also fit her. I hope this helps with your sizing questions!

I hope that these last for a long time. My mom told me that she had a pair of Minnetonka mocs (not slippers, but the actual shoes for outside), and they lasted over 15 years. I have a pair of the mocs, too, and I've had them a year, and I wear them probably 4-5 days a week. Very well made and very comfortable.

I bought the UGG houseshoes for my 16-year-old niece. For some reason that I will never understand, all the kids wear them everywhere. Yes, they wear them outside, to school, the mall, whatever. And, you cannot refer to them as houseshoes. . .they are moccasins. The fact that I was able to locate the "moccasins" during the Christmas holidays upped my Cool Aunt status considerably. Frankly, I thought they were a great pair of houseshoes and better quality than most. If you want to be really trendy, buy the moccasins and wear them to the grocery store.
